Terms of Use
Effective Date: April 5, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Cal Invoice ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Description of Service
Cal Invoice is a tool that connects to your Google Calendar via read-only access to help you generate invoices based on calendar events. The Service is currently in beta and is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Features, availability, and functionality may change or be discontinued at any time without notice.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. By using Cal Invoice, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
4. User Accounts & Google Authorization
To use the Service, you must authorize Cal Invoice to access your Google Calendar data with read-only permissions. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials. Cal Invoice does not store your Google password. You may revoke access at any time through your Google account settings.
5. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any invoices generated through the Service, including but not limited to client details, billing rates, line items, hours, and payment information. Cal Invoice automates invoice creation based on your calendar data and the rules you configure — it is your responsibility to review all invoices before sending them to clients or using them for any financial or legal purpose.
6. Analytics
We use Microsoft Clarity to collect anonymized usage data, including page views, clicks, scroll behavior, and session recordings. This data helps us understand how the Service is used and improve the user experience. By using Cal Invoice, you consent to the collection of this anonymized analytics data. No personally identifiable information is linked to analytics data.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding associated with Cal Invoice are the property of Cal Invoice and its creators. You retain ownership of your own data, including calendar event data and generated invoice content.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CAL INVOICE AND ITS CREATORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, REVENUE, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS LESS.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cal Invoice and its creators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without prior notice or liability. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections regarding limitation of liability, indemnification, and disclaimers survive termination.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cal Invoice operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
13. Contact
If you have questions about these Terms, please reach out via the contact information provided on the Cal Invoice website.
